The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Braan. Mitia does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mitia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mitia keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Braan.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mitia.
Mitia misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mitia misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mitia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Braan's waist but Braan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mitia off to one side.

Braan moves into range and connects with a jab.
Braan looks to land a combination. Mitia sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Mitia on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Braan scores with a jab to the jaw.
Mitia fails with a takedown attempt.
Mitia takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Braan scores with the left hand. Mitia knows he should have avoided that one.
Mitia shoots for a double leg takedown but Braan sprawls well. He's pushed Mitia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Braan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Braan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Mitia shoots in looking for a takedown. Braan tries to sprawl out of it but Mitia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Braan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Arnold Braan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Braan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Mitia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Braan swivels and escapes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Braan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Braan stuffs the takedown.

Mitia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Braan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mitia somewhat.
Braan jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Braan throws a big shot that misses.
Mitia takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mitia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mitia is breathing heavily.
Mitia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Braan sprawls well. Braan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mitia gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like Dmitri Mitia has been cut.
Braan jabs Mitia right on the nose. Mitia blinks but takes it well.
Braan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Braan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Mitia is rocked!
Mitia ducks into an uppercut from Braan and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
