Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between fydor emenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raimo Karhu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karhu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Karhu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. emenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
emenko on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if emenko tries to get out of the position.

emenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Karhu's guard.

Karhu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Karhu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Karhu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. emenko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Karhu manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

emenko has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Karhu finds it's way round the side to connect with emenko's head.
Karhu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
emenko takes a jab right on the kisser.
fydor emenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
emenko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Karhu swivels and escapes.
emenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karhu pinned against the cage. Karhu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
emenko takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Karhu shoots for a double leg takedown but emenko sprawls well. He's pushed Karhu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Karhu connects with a nice short shot to emenko's temple.
