PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sento Karushiyaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Esperanza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Karushiyaki might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Drake- Over. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sento Karushiyaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Esperanza!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Esperanza instigates a clinch.
Esperanza lands a good knee to the midsection. Karushiyaki won't want to take too many of those.

It looks like Sento Karushiyaki has been cut.

Esperanza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Esperanza had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Karushiyaki defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Esperanza moves in looking to clinch but Karushiyaki pushes him off.

Esperanza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Karushiyaki defends well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Karushiyaki postures up and lands a big shot to Esperanza's brow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oh but Esperanza is tightening it up a little... Karushiyaki has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Karushiyaki reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Karushiyaki taps out! nice BJJ there by Esperanza!
