Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vincente Delgado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Ruffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincente Delgado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Ruffy! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruffy scores with a leg kick.
Ruffy throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Ruffy swats away the attempt to clinch by Delgado. Delgado fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ruffy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. No joy there for Delgado, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ruffy closes the distance and pushes Delgado back into the cage. Ruffy misses with a hook from the clinch. Ruffy unloads a knee to the mid-section. Delgado looking for a takedown. Ruffy throws a punch but it's blocked by Delgado. Delgado tries to pull guard but Ruffy holds him up against the cage and eventually Delgado drops back down to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Delgado goes for a takedown attempt but Ruffy pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Delgado throws a right hand that Ruffy ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruffy also avoids with ease. Delgado tries to bum rush Ruffy with a series of wild strikes but Ruffy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Delgado swinging wildly here.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Delgado swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ruffy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Delgado swats him away and circles back towards the center. Delgado throws a sloppy head kick and Ruffy moves out of range easily. Ruffy swings and misses with a shot to the body and Delgado counters with a left and a right that stings Ruffy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vincente Delgado will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Vincente Delgado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ruffy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Delgado misses with a double jab
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Delgado tries to close the distance and clinch but Ruffy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Delgado throws a lazy head kick and Ruffy counters with a good, hard body kick but Delgado shrugs it off. Ruffy throws a sloppy head kick and Delgado moves out of range easily.

Ruffy lands with a kick to the temple. Delgado shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Delgado throws a leg kick enabling Ruffy to counter with a crisp jab. Delgado moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Delgado lands a head kick!

and Ruffy counters with a nice body kick.

Danga de danga de dang - Delgado scores with a four punch combination! Delgado ducks down and throws a hook to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ruffy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Delgado.

Ruffy staggers backwards, shaken. A head kick misses from Ruffy. Ruffy moves in looking to clinch but Delgado pushes him off. Delgado swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ruffy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Delgado's knee momentarily. Delgado throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Ruffy makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Delgado throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ruffy counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Ruffy tries to clinch up but Delgado circles away and keeps his distance. Delgado throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ruffy counters with a head kick. Delgado rushes Ruffy and presses him up against the cage. Delgado tries to pull guard but Ruffy won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight! Charles Ruffy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Delgado has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
