Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy has chosen Rock the Casbah as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Lashley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lashley tries to clinch but Hardy moves out of range.
Hardy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hardy displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Hardy drops Lashley with a left and a right! Oh, Lashley is hurt - Hardy dives into side control looking to finish!


Lashley is rocked!


It looks like Bobby Lashley has been cut.
Hardy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lashley's shoulder. That is not cool.
Oh Lashley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lashley is trying to get back to his feet.
The referee asks Hardy politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hardy prefers to stall for the moment though.
Lashley seems to have got his legs back now.

Hardy decides to stand back up. Hardy steps back and let's Lashley get back to his feet.
Paul Hardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hardy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lashley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hardy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Horrible takedown by Lashley or perhaps it was just good defense by Hardy which made him look bad.
Hardy missing with a left hand there. Lashley was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hardy misses with a body shot.

Hardy clinches up with Lashley and pushes him back against the cage.
Lashley is trying to drag Hardy to the mat but Hardy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lashley prevents Hardy from breaking the clinch.
Hardy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Hardy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lashley slips a jab and a cross from Hardy.
Lashley fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Lashley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lashley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hardy sprawls well. Hardy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lashley gets slowly back to his feet.
Hardy scores with a jab. Lashley acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Hardy jabs at Lashley's body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Nice combo by Hardy! Oh, that's hurt him - Lashley falls to the canvas and Hardy follows him into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hardy decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Lashley closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lashley is breathing heavily.
Hardy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hardy misses with a few strikes there.
Hardy listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Lashley has a takedown stuffed.
Hardy doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lashley counters by moving into the clinch.
Hardy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lashley.
Hardy wants to get back to striking at distance but Lashley won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lashley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hardy smiles and moves away.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Lashley. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Hardy takes the fight into the clinch.
Hardy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Hardy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hardy closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A telegraphed right hand from Hardy misses the target.
Hardy lunges at Lashley with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lashley's hand.
Nice body kick there by Hardy.

Hardy moves into the clinch successfully.

Lashley jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lashley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hardy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hardy passes Lashley's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lashley is trying to maintain the position but Hardy is very close to passing his half guard.

Hardy stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Lashley to get to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hardy keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lashley with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hardy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Lashley forces Hardy back against the cage and clinches.
Lashley has Hardy pressed against the cage, preventing Hardy from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Hardy dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bobby Lashley's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Hardy works over Lashley's head and body with a nice combination.
Hardy misses with a wild combination.
Lashley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hardy moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Lashley gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hardy.
Hardy tries to bum rush Lashley with a series of wild strikes but Lashley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hardy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hardy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lashley shoots in but Hardy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hardy cracks a nice hook into Lashley's ribs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No joy there for Hardy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hardy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Lashley looking for submissions off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hardy stands up from half guard.
A nice combination there by Hardy.
Hardy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Left hook, right uppercut from Hardy.
Hardy lands with a big left! Lashley is wobbled badly! Hardy comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Lashley to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Paul Hardy!
