The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arpa misses with a body shot.
Arpa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lipponen.
Arpa slips a straight right by Lipponen.
Lipponen throws a hook to the side of Arpa's head but Arpa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Arpa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lipponen circles away quickly and effectively.
Lipponen fails to land with a series of punches.
Arpa looks to score with a jab to the body but Lipponen is just out of range.
Pekka Lipponen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lipponen shoots in for a takedown but Arpa shows good takedown defense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Arpa doesn't manage to clinch there - Lipponen circles away.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lipponen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Arpa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Arpa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Arpa lands a nice shot to the body.
Lipponen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
A jab from Arpa misses.
Lipponen moves forwards but Arpa connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lipponen defending well as Arpa loads up on a big left hand.
Arpa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Arpa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Arpa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Pekka Lipponen's cut is getting worse.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lipponen is defended easily by Arpa.
Arpa tries to clinch but Lipponen is having none of it.

enabling Arpa to counter with a crisp jab.
Arpa slips a jab from Lipponen.

Lipponen shoots in for a takedown but Arpa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pekka Lipponen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lipponen moves forwards but Arpa connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Arpa is looking to clinch.
Arpa throws a big shot that misses.
Lipponen lands with an uppercut that bounces Arpa off the cage and back into rage.
Lipponen misses with a head kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Arpa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Lipponen. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Lipponen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Arpa finds it's way round the side to connect with Lipponen's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lipponen jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Lipponen tries to work over Arpa's front leg with a kick but Arpa checks it.
Arpa lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pekka Lipponen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
