Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anselmi Samara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Krueger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krueger just misses with a punch to the body.
Samara misses with a double jab.
Krueger walks into a jab.
Samara takes a swing at Krueger's ribcage but misses.
Samara drives through and clinches with Krueger against the cage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A looping hook to the body misses from Krueger. Samara does a little dance to reset his feet.
Krueger doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Samara counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Krueger throws a hook to the side of Samara's head but Samara sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

so Samara counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Krueger controls Samara momentarily but Samara frees himself.

Krueger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Krueger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Samara's head.
Krueger thows a huge punch but Samara dodges it nicely.
Krueger wants to take a breather but Samara is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Samara can't control as he wanted to and Krueger manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Samara jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Krueger is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Krueger and Samara has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Samara wants to lay and pray for a moment but Krueger keeps working.
