Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rich Andersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Roy Jones Jr. - Can't be touched. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Andersen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rashad Evans! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans throws a series of punches but Andersen avoids them all with ease. Andersen misses with a few strikes there.
Evans closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Andersen wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Andersen can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Andersen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Evans's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Andersen trying to control but Evans postures up.
Evans is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Andersen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Evans pulls his head out easily. Evans is trying to work for a kimura but Andersen is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Andersen actively working from the bottom here. Evans wants to stand up but Andersen has a hold of him and won't allow it. Evans is thwarting Andersen's attempts to control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Evans displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Andersen. Andersen is breathing heavily. Evans throws a left and a right that both miss
and Andersen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Evans won't be happy with that. Evans tries to escape but Andersen is in control. Andersen advances nicely into full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Andersen has control of Evans's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Evans regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Andersen won't let Evans get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Evans has left one of his arms exposed and Andersen doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Evans screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
