Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Moy Ty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Newby Staples (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newby Staples is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Moy Ty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Newby Staples! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ty misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ty throws a head kick that misses. Ty shoots in and drives through. Staples sprawls well. Ty will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Moy Ty. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ty shoots in but no luck this time. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ty. Horrible takedown by Ty or perhaps it was just good defense by Staples which made him look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Staples has managed to clinch.
Staples ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Staples no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Ty stopping the sweep attempt from Staples.
That's one minute gone in the round. Staples throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ty stopping the sweep attempt from Staples. Ty slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Ty avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Staples has his foot on Ty's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ty works his way back into a safe position though. Ty knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Staples on the ground. Staples looks gassed! Ty pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Staples is keeping the position for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ty accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Staples keeping full guard, as Ty tries to pass. Staples working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ty manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ty trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ty wants to stand and escape but instead Staples has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Ty is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Staples is controlling him. Staples stands and throws Ty's legs to the side, diving into side control. Staples has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ty is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Staples yanks on the arm and Ty is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Staples.
