The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akita avoids the body shot from Jones.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Akita as he avoids it easily.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Akita is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Akita circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Ren Akita has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimy Jones.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Akita lands a jab to Jones's midsection.
Jones with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Akita to score with a decent uppercut.
Nice sprawl there from Akita as Jones shoots in.
Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jones throws a wild body kick that Akita sees coming a mile off.
Akita leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Akita drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Akita cracks Jones with a solid left hand.
Akita slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Akita. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Akita lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Akita cracks Jones with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Akita immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Jones is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Akita!
