Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Zwerschke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanuko Kurana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wyatt Zwerschke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hanuko Kurana!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kurana.
Zwerschke is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Zwerschke struggling a bit here.
Kurana is staying tight to Zwerschke's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Kurana creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Kurana is working Zwerschke over with some ground and pound from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zwerschke pushes Kurana away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kurana gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Zwerschke parries the strikes from Kurana easily there. Kurana is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Zwerschke to escape.
Zwerschke is trying to get back to half guard.
Kurana remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Zwerschke is looking to reverse the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hanuko Kurana.
Kurana shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zwerschke but Zwerschke pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kurana misses with a takedown attempt - Zwerschke sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zwerschke stalks Kurana and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kurana's face. Kurana staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Hanuko Kurana has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Zwerschke.

Zwerschke throws a head kick that half lands.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Zwerschke.
Kurana takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Zwerschke lands with a nice body punch.
Zwerschke explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Zwerschke bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kurana's head backwards.

Kurana takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kurana is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Zwerschke scores with a leg kick.
Kurana tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Zwerschke throws a nice head kick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Zwerschke throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kurana.

and Zwerschke counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kurana is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Kurana chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Zwerschke can pounce on him.

The fight stays on the outside here - Zwerschke looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kurana shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kurana has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Zwerschke.

Zwerschke lands with a kick to the temple. Kurana shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Hanuko Kurana has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Zwerschke cracks Kurana with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

And that's the end of the fight!
Wyatt Zwerschke showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Zwerschke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
