Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Ab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ilya Sapursky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ab kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Echidna's Arf part 2 . Sapursky has chosen Imperial March as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mr Ab! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ilya Sapursky! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sapursky gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ab. Sapursky keeps the fight on the outside. Sapursky tries to move into range but Ab moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sapursky gets a takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sapursky tries to pass to full mount but Ab defends it. Ab knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sapursky on the ground. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sapursky in particular looking to stall. Sapursky decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Ab slaps away a takedown attempt from Sapursky, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ab lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ab tries to clinch there but Sapursky circles away.
Sapursky moves in looking to clinch but Ab pushes him off. Sapursky shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ab sprawls well. Ab wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sapursky gets slowly back to his feet. Ab moves into the clinch successfully.

Mr Ab has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ilya Sapursky. Sapursky tries to score a body lock takedown but Ab shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Ab prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sapursky shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ab as he avoids it easily. Ab closes the distance and clinches. Ab wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sapursky tries to score a body lock takedown but Ab shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Ab is leaning against Sapursky and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Sapursky looks gassed! Ab wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sapursky is trying to force a seperation but Ab has the dominant position. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ab takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Sapursky scores with a hook to the body. Still in the clinch, Ab scores with a nice short uppercut. Sapursky fails to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ab lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Sapursky has Ab pressed against the cage, preventing Ab from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A nice left hand lands by Ab.
Sapursky prevents Ab from breaking the clinch. Ab's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Ab wants to get back to striking at distance but Sapursky won't allow it.

Ab lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sapursky backwards. Still in the clinch, Ab scores with a nice short uppercut. Sapursky keeps control of Ab as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ab lands a right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A short uppercut from Ab. Ab tries to break the clinch but Sapursky is controlling the position. Ab lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Ab lands with a short shot to the head. Sapursky jumps guard and drags Ab to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Abis looking to pass into half guard but Sapursky pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Sapursky is in guard. Ab utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sapursky thows a big elbow that misses. Ab wants to sweep but no luck. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sapursky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sapursky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Ab dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Horrible takedown by Sapursky or perhaps it was just good defense by Ab which made him look bad. Sapursky tries to clinch but Ab moves away and Ab counters with a nice uppercut. Sapursky misses with a kick to the body.

Ab bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sapursky's head backwards. Sapursky falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ab counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ab tries a head kick but it misses.

Sapursky looks for the body kick but Ab saw that one coming. Sapursky is breathing heavily. Sapursky shoots in looking for a takedown. Ab tries to sprawl out of it but Sapursky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ab manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mr Ab has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ilya Sapursky. Ab lands a slapping body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ab scores with a nice right hand.
Sapursky moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Ab scores with a jab to the jaw. Ab gets in close and instigates a clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Ab. Ab's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sapursky gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ab with a hook. Sapursky on the wrong end of a nice jab. Good exchange - Ab coming out on top. Ab is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Ab tries to work over Sapursky's front leg with a kick but Sapursky checks it. Sapursky walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Ab closes the distance and pushes Sapursky back into the cage. Ab lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sapursky or not. A nice right hand lands inside from Ab. Ab scores with a shoulder strike. Ab controlling the action here for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ab goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Ab tries to clinch but Sapursky moves away and Sapursky counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ab is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sapursky is controlling him. Ab utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sapursky slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Ab takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sapursky working the ground and pound. Sapursky in side control, just content to control the action for now. Ab tries to bench press Sapursky off him but Sapursky keeps the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sapursky decides to stand back up. Mr Ab is winning the standup battle so far. Ab wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Ab dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Sapursky has Ab pressed against the cage, preventing Ab from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Ab managing to block the knees to the body from Sapursky.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ab lands a body punch. Sapursky tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ab just stands there and leans against the cage. Ab lands a shoulder strike. Ab lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sapursky backwards. Sapursky tries for a takedown. No joy.
Ab lands with a short head shot on the inside. Ab lands a shot to the body. A left hand lands to the body for Ab.

Ab tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sapursky paws at him with a jab and circles away. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fight moves into the clinch position. Sapursky has Ab pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sapursky pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ab tumbling to the mat - Sapursky dives into Ab's guard. Sapursky advances position into side control! Sapursky tries for a kimura but Ab is defending well. Mr Ab is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ab defending against the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Mr Ab showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ab, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
