Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvin Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marshall Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alvin Le!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Le is fending him off so far but Mason persists. Nope, Le circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Mason or perhaps it was just good defense by Le which made him look bad.
Some wild striking there from Le.

Mason closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mason thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Le tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Mason has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Le is trying to escape the mount.
Le regains half guard.

Mason is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Le is trying to control but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Le wants to get back to full guard.
Le looks gassed!
Le avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mason.
Le is looking to improve his position.

Mason is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Le has managed to free his arm - good work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mason slips a jab and a cross from Le.
Mason will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marshall Mason. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Le throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Le has closed the distance and engaged Mason in a clinch.
Mason is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Le gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Le wants a takedown but no success here.
Le is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Mason manages to pull guard.

Mason working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Le doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Le manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mason doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mason looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Mason had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Le is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mason Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Le's back instead.

Mason is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Mason is looking to control Le but Le is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Le really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mason. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mason is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Le has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Mason is cranking Le's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Le! He's tightened the choke and Le is tapping out!
