The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baltazar slips under a jab.
Baltazar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
No joy there for Kernspecht, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kernspecht with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Baltazar to score with a decent uppercut.
Kernspecht throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baltazar's waist but Baltazar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kernspecht off to one side.
Kernspecht misses with a straight right.
Baltazar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Baltazar throws a shot from downtown. Kernspecht moves away and avoids it.

Kernspecht closes the distance and clinches.
Baltazar wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kernspecht has him pressed against the cage.

Kernspecht shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Baltazar is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kernspecht had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Kernspecht takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Baltazar cracks Kernspecht with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kernspecht drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
