The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grain throws a series of punches but james moves out of range.
james misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
james throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Joel Grain has been cut.
Grain lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like maxwell james has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Grain ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Grain throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Grain throws a hook but james blocks it.
Grain cracks james with a right hand to the side of the head.
james keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Grain.
Grain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but james circles away quickly and effectively.
Grain slaps away a takedown attempt from james, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Grain looks to land a left hand but james moved out of range nicely.

james slips a straight right by Grain.

Grain swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Grain lands a left and a right that send james crashing to the mat, dazed. Grain thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Joel Grain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grain cracks james with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! james looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Grain finish him?

Grain lands with a big right hook that stumbles james - he's out on his feet here! Grain follows up with another monster hook that separates james from consciousness! james falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Grain stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
