Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keni Susi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Susi comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Hero of the Day. Gomi has chosen Scary as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Takanori Gomi!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Susi is defended easily by Gomi.
Susi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gomi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gomi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Susi wants to control but Gomi is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Susi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Susi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gomi is working away from the top position though.

Susi has his foot on Gomi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gomi works his way back into a safe position though.
Gomi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Susi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gomi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Susi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Gomi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Keni Susi.
Well Gomi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
