Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Block Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell's entrance music is Slayer - Raining Blood. A fine choice. Al Capone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Al Capone!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liddell's waist but Liddell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Capone off to one side.
A jab from Liddell misses.
Liddell throws a leg kick but Capone sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Capone moves out of range of the body kick from Liddell.
Capone gets a clinch.
Capone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Liddell scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Capone lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Liddell throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Liddell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Capone manages to avoid it.

Capone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liddell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Capone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Capone wants to control from the top but Liddell keeps moving.

Capone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Capone has managed to clinch.
Capone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Capone closes the distance and pushes Liddell back into the cage.
Capone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Capone moves out of range as Liddell throws a body kick.

and Liddell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Capone checks a leg kick.

Capone shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Liddell is staying active underneath Capone, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Capone tries to pass the half guard into mount. Liddell knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Capone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Liddell with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Capone cracks Liddell with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Capone is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Liddell has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Al Capone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Capone! Liddell is out on his feet! Capone rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Liddell is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Liddell is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Al Capone!
