Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Graham Polliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunter Kicurasz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kicurasz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Stemm - Face the Pain. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Graham Polliver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Gunter Kicurasz!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polliver misses with a low kick as Kicurasz jumps back.
A big right from Polliver misses.
Polliver tries to clinch but Kicurasz moves out of range.
Polliver tries to close the distance and clinch but Kicurasz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Polliver will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kicurasz shoots in but Polliver avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kicurasz slips a jab from Polliver.
Polliver looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Polliver bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kicurasz is pushing Polliver's head away, looking to escape. Polliver manages to hold on to the position though.
Polliver is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kicurasz will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Polliver prevents Kicurasz from escaping the position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Polliver is looking to take a break and control but Kicurasz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kicurasz looks for a takedown but Polliver sprawls well.
Polliver moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Polliver tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Polliver throws a leg kick that misses.
Polliver is looking to clinch.
Polliver tries to bum rush Kicurasz with a series of wild strikes but Kicurasz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Polliver misses the jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Polliver. Kicurasz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kicurasz moves out of range of the body kick from Polliver.
Polliver is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kicurasz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Polliver tries to buck Kicurasz off but Kicurasz is having none of it.

Kicurasz is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Polliver has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kicurasz tries to stand but Polliver is controlling his head.
Polliver tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Polliver is working hard here to advance position.

Kicurasz stands up.
Polliver tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kicurasz paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Polliver throws a quick inside leg kick.
Polliver throws a good cross that connects.
Kicurasz shoots for a double leg takedown but Polliver sprawls well. He's pushed Kicurasz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Graham Polliver will probably get the nod.

Polliver throws a sloppy head kick and Kicurasz moves out of range easily.

Polliver fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kicurasz, pushing him back against the cage.
Kicurasz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Polliver smiles and moves away.
Polliver attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Polliver throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kicurasz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kicurasz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Polliver throws a shot from downtown. Kicurasz moves away and avoids it.
Some bone on bone action there as Kicurasz checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kicurasz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kicurasz gets caught flat footed, as Polliver shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kicurasz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kicurasz wants to stand but Polliver is controlling the position.
Polliver makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Polliver wants to control from the top but Kicurasz keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kicurasz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Polliver but Polliver pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Kicurasz trying to control from Polliver's half guard. Polliver has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Kicurasz is looking to stand up but Polliver won't let him.

Polliver had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kicurasz defends it easily.
Polliver tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kicurasz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kicurasz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Kicurasz loads up on a big right hand but Polliver slips the punch.
Polliver moves in looking to clinch but Kicurasz pushes him off.
Polliver connects with a body shot.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Polliver lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kicurasz has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kicurasz and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Polliver moves in looking to clinch but Kicurasz pushes him off.
Polliver lands a head kick. Kicurasz smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Graham Polliver is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight stays on the outside here - Polliver looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Polliver wants to clinch.

Polliver uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kicurasz.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kicurasz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kicurasz avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Kicurasz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Polliver sprawls well initially but Kicurasz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Polliver works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kicurasz tries to stand but Polliver is controlling from the bottom.

Kicurasz drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Polliver manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kicurasz has Polliver in his guard.

Kicurasz is working an open guard so Polliver takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Polliver is looking to slow Kicurasz down with leg kicks.

A decent looking cross lands there for Polliver.
Polliver scores with a one two! Kicurasz had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Kicurasz doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Polliver counters with a left to the body.
Kicurasz needs to keep his hands up - Polliver had a free shot at his head there.
Polliver looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Polliver shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kicurasz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kicurasz wants to stand up but Polliver is controlling him.

Kicurasz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Polliver stacks Kicurasz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Polliver!

Kicurasz tries to buck Polliver off but Polliver is having none of it.
Polliver remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Kicurasz wants to get back to his feet but Polliver drags him back down.

Kicurasz pushes Polliver away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Polliver gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well Polliver has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
