Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fard Tard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nash Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fard Tard has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fard Tard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nash Mercer! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tard looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Mercer tries to clinch but Tard is having none of it. Mercer moves away from the strike by Tard. Tard shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mercer trying to hold on to Tard's head to control him but Tard postures up.
Tard thows a huge punch but Mercer dodges it nicely.
Tard looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Tard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mercer for as long as he can get away with. Tard wants to free his trapped foot but Mercer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tard is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Tard dominating with strikes here. Mercer really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Tard looking to finish Mercer with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mercer! Tard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tard with good strikes from the mount here! Tard unloads with some shots from mount but Mercer bucks and avoids them well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tard throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Tard pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Tard avoids the attempt from Mercer to control. Tard looking to control but Mercer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Tard controlling the pace for now. Mercer wants to hold on but Tard pushes him away. Tard is landing with some decent strikes but Mercer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Tard content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tard landing strikes from the mount. Tard tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Tard thowing shots but they're missing. Tard landing shots from mount. Tard working Mercer over with strikes here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mercer is looking to get to half guard. Mercer looks gassed! Tard punishing his opponent with strikes. Tard controlling from the full mount. Tard with the ground and pound from mount. Tard lands a heavy elbow. Mercer keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tard scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Mercer?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tard dominating with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fard Tard dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mercer slips under a jab from Tard. Tard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mercer doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Tard controls from within his opponent's guard. Tard stands up over Mercer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Tard slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mercer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tard trying to control but Mercer is working from the bottom. Tard not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fard Tard. Mercer tries to close the distance and clinch but Tard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A big left from Tard misses. Mercer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tard is looking to score with low kicks. Mercer with a poor takedown and Tard counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mercer is breathing heavily. Tard is working Mercer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mercer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mercer keeping moving, preventing Tard from controlling successfully. Tard chips away with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tard controlling from the top position. Tard is looking to work some ground and pound but Mercer has wrist control. Tard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mercer has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tard should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mercer has tightened it up now! Tard should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
