Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between DrZawi Hawass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matty Hews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawass leaves Hews with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hews closes the distance and clinches up with Hawass, looking for a takedown. Hews pushes Hawass against the cage but Hawass circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hews shoots in for a takedown but Hawass shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
DrZawi Hawass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matty Hews.
Hawass doesn't manage to clinch there - Hews circles away.
Hews tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hawass was well out of range. Poor timing from Hews.
Hews shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hawass as he avoids it easily.

Hawass misses with a takedown

and Hews counters with a takedown into side control.
Hawass is not content to let Hews control the position.

Hews has hold of Hawass's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hawass seems comfortable defending it but Hews has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hawass is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hawass is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hews couldn't care less - he's delighted!
