Smits tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Smits shoots in and bounces hurd off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Smits wanted to stand there but hurd had control of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smits jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as hurd walks away with a smile on his face. Smits gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

hurd manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
hurd looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Oh, this is biiiig trouble! hurd arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
