Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hatfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guto Culpado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Nice sprawl there from Culpado as Hatfield shoots in.
Hatfield keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Hatfield shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Culpado sprawls well. Culpado wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hatfield gets slowly back to his feet.

Culpado swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Culpado takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hatfield looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hatfield changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Culpado tries to avoid it but Hatfield manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Culpado to the ground. Culpado escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Guto Culpado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Culpado just misses with a punch to the body.
Hatfield scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Culpado manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hatfield's best efforts.
Culpado is pressing down on Hatfield's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Culpado has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Culpado might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hatfield kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Hatfield counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Culpado's guard now.
