The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De La Vega steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Brickwall.

Brickwall closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brickwall lands in his opponent's guard.
Brickwall trying to control the position from guard on top but De La Vega is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brickwall looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Brickwall might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Brickwall wants to control from the top but De La Vega keeps moving.
Brickwall looking to pass the guard.
Brickwall not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

De La Vega has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brickwall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
De La Vega working a defensive guard here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Brickwall will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

De La Vega looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

De La Vega is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
De La Vega wants to control but Brickwall is keeping him busy.

Brickwall regains full guard. Nicely done.
Brickwall looking to hit a scissor sweep but De La Vega is one step ahead there.

De La Vega is sitting in close to Brickwall's body. Brickwall has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! De La Vega is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, De La Vega is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Brickwall.
