Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Dingdown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Z (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Z has chosen New York as his entrance music. Ben Dingdown could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jay Z's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ben Dingdown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jay Z!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dingdown lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Z circles away quickly and effectively.
Jay Z seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Z.
Z fails with a takedown attempt.
Z shoots in and drives through. Dingdown sprawls well.
Ben Dingdown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Z.
Z uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dingdown.
Dingdown looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Z swinging wildly here.
Z will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dingdown misses with a double jab.

Dingdown throws a series of punches but Z moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dingdown looks to land a right hand but Z moved out of range.

Z wants to pass the guard but Dingdown is keeping the position.

Dingdown preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Z throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dingdown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Danga de danga de dang - Z scores with a four punch combination!
Z throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dingdown's waist but Dingdown gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Z off to one side.
Dingdown tries to bum rush Z with a series of wild strikes but Z uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Z lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Z jabs Dingdown right on the nose. Dingdown blinks but takes it well.
Dingdown avoids a kick to the body.
Z wants to clinch up but Dingdown keeps it at a distance.

Z scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Dingdown pushes Z off looking to stand but Z dives back in and keeps control.
Z is looking to pass Dingdown's guard but actually Dingdown recovers to full guard.
Z stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dingdown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dingdown wants to stand but Z is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Z throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dingdown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Z tries to close the distance and clinch but Dingdown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dingdown throws a body punch but Z moves out of range.
Z connects with a crisp jab.
Dingdown waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Z.
Z avoids the head kick by Dingdown.
Dingdown throws a nice looking combination but Z bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Z. Dingdown does a little dance to reset his feet.
Z shoots in for a takedown but Dingdown shows good takedown defense.
Z tries to close the distance and clinch but Dingdown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Z uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dingdown.
Nice uppercut lands for Dingdown. That snapped Z's head back.
Dingdown throws a combination. Z tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Jay Z has been cut.
Ben Dingdown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Z slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Dingdown. No joy for Z on that attempt.
Z looks gassed!
Z takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dingdown avoids the head kick by Z.
No luck for Z with that takedown attempt.
Dingdown keeps the fight on the outside.
Dingdown looks to land a combination but Z avoids it well.
Dingdown jabs Z right on the nose. Z blinks but takes it well.
Nice sprawl there from Dingdown as Z shoots in.
Dingdown misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Z lands a slapping body shot.
Z checks the leg kick.
Z throws a nice looking combination but Dingdown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dingdown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Z moves in looking to clinch but Dingdown pushes him off.
Z falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dingdown counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ben Dingdown will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jay Z's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Z shoots in for a takedown but Dingdown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dingdown throws a hook but Z avoids it easily.
Donk. Dingdown catches Z right on the button with a cross.
Dingdown throws a right hand that Z ducks under and follows up with a left that Z also avoids with ease.
Dingdown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Z moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Z takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Z finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Dingdown scoring well with a low kick there.
Dingdown circles away from the clinch attempt.

Z shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Z was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dingdown holds on for dear life.
Dingdown is trying to stand.
Z is breathing heavily.

Z goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dingdown is on top in guard.

Z throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Z is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Z tries to pass to full mount but Dingdown defends it.
Dingdown is trying to stand.
Z is looking to pass Dingdown's guard but actually Dingdown recovers to full guard.
Dingdown wants to get back to his feet but Z is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dingdown avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dingdown is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Z has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Z connects with a couple of short punches.
Z throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Z passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Z has hold of Dingdown's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dingdown seems comfortable defending it but Z has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dingdown is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dingdown is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Z couldn't care less - he's delighted!
