Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kick Some AZZ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaq Oneil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kick Some AZZ has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

AZZ fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Oneil sprawls well initially but AZZ persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Oneil tries to regain full guard. Instead though, AZZ has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Oneil can't escape the position.
Oneil holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as AZZ tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Oneil's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Oneil clinches up with AZZ and pushes him back against the ropes.

AZZ has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Oneil is proving hard to escape from.

AZZ drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Oneil manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now AZZ has Oneil in his guard.

AZZ is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
AZZ wants to get back to his feet.

Oneil looking to break AZZ's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. AZZ remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Oneil will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Oneil is trying to stick to AZZ's back but AZZ is turning into Oneil. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Oneil's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by AZZ.

Oneil bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in AZZ's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Oneil counters with a single leg into guard. AZZ didn't expect that.

Oneil stands and steps away. AZZ gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Oneil shoots in looking for a takedown. AZZ tries to sprawl out of it but Oneil keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. AZZ manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
AZZ stuffs the takedown attempt from Oneil. Oneil gets slowly back to his feet.
Kick Some AZZ has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shaq Oneil.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
