2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Skeeter Grabner! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Whar Fedal! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grabner has a takedown stuffed. Nice takedown defense from Fedal. No joy for Grabner on that attempt. Fedal fails to land with a series of punches.
Grabner bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fedal tries to bench press Grabner off him but Grabner keeps the position. Grabner working the head with strikes. Fedal is looking for a sweep. Fedal is pushing Grabner's head away, looking to escape. Grabner manages to hold on to the position though. Grabner working the ground and pound. Fedal is trying to buck Grabner off. Grabner is looking to take a break and control but Fedal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fedal can't do much from the bottom here. Grabner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fedal has escaped the position, nice work there. Grabner slows the pace down. Fedal stops Grabner from passing to mount. Grabner advances to full mount. Fedal can't escape the position.
Fedal is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Fedal is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fedal tries to reverse the position but Grabner maintains control. Grabner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Grabner looking to control and managing it successfully. Fedal can't escape the position.
Grabner dominating with strikes here. Grabner wants to control the pace but Fedal is squirming around nicely. Grabner landing strikes from the mount and Fedal is in trouble! Fedal wants to get back to his feet.

Grabner has hold of Fedal's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fedal manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Grabner lands a heavy elbow. Grabner misses with a head shot. Grabner sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Fedal is desperately trying to improve his position but Grabner has a good base and remains in mount. Fedal is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Fedal somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fedal throws a series of punches but Grabner avoids them all with ease. Grabner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fedal pinned against the cage. Fedal gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Skeeter Grabner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fedal misses with a series of wild punches.
Fedal throws a body punch but Grabner moves out of range. Grabner shoots in but no luck this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Skeeter Grabner dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Fedal stuffs the takedown attempt from Grabner. Grabner gets slowly back to his feet. Grabner walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Grabner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fedal.
Grabner closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fedal tries to get to full guard but Grabner has control of the leg. Fedal is staying active underneath Grabner, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Fedal wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grabner lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Fedal is trying to stand up here but Grabner is controlling him well. Fedal is refusing to be controlled, as Grabner sits in half guard. Grabner looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Fedal throws the left hand but Grabner avoids the punch easily. Skeeter Grabner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fedal looks to land a combination but Grabner avoids it well. Grabner gets a takedown into half guard. Grabner drops an elbow to the side of Fedal's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grabner controlling the action here. Grabner frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Grabner cracks Fedal with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Grabner looking to control but Fedal is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Fedal tries to get back to half guard but can't. Fedal squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fedal is looking for a sweep. Grabner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fedal scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Grabner manages to mount him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fedal is squirming around, avoiding Grabner's attempts to control the action. Grabner lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Fedal tries to buck Grabner off but he can't manage it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fedal tries to improve his position but Grabner has taken his back! Grabner has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Fedal tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Grabner pushes Fedal away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Skeeter Grabner! Skeeter Grabner is the new lightweight champion!
