Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Crain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Rockside (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Rockside is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timmy Crain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Rockside! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crain uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rockside. Nice takedown defense from Rockside. No joy for Crain on that attempt. Rockside swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Crain pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rockside throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rockside throws a shot from downtown. Crain moves away and avoids it. Rockside just misses with a punch to the body.
Rockside shoots in and bounces Crain off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Rockside won't allow Crain to get back to his feet. Rockside pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Crain is keeping the position for now. Crain is looking to stand up but Rockside isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockside trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Crain wants to sweep here but Rockside controlling him for the moment. Crain wants to stand and escape but Rockside is having none of it. Rockside pushes down on Crain's leg and manages to get into half guard. Crain really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Crain wants to improve his position but Rockside is controlling well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Crain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rockside manages to avoid it. Rockside scores with a nice strike. Nice defenses there by Crain. Crain staying out of range there. Rockside missing with a left hand there. Crain was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Crain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Crain unloads with some shots from mount but Rockside bucks and avoids them well.

Rockside sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Crain is breathing heavily. Rockside manages to get to full guard.
Rockside trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Crain postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rockside is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Crain, into his guard. Rockside is pushing down on Crain's leg trying to pass to half guard. Crain is fighting to maintain full guard but Rockside has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rockside is trying to work for a kimura but Crain is defending well.
Ground and pound from Rockside. Crain is in trouble now - Rockside has advanced to mount! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rockside postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Crain looks a forlorn figure.
Rockside is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Crain can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Crain wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Crain is rocked! Crain keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockside working for a guillotine from mount but Crain is in no mood to give up. Crain wants to control but Rockside is having none of it. Crain really wants to buck Rockside off and get back to his feet. Crain tries to hold on but Rockside pushes him away. Crain is trying to reverse the position but instead Rockside has taken his back - oops! Crain is trying to break free.
Crain trying to control the action but Rockside just sinks the hooks in. Rockside is punishing Crain with strikes - can he finish him?! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Rockside dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Good leg kick by Crain there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Crain misses with a takedown attempt so Rockside counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Crain is trying to keep Rockside in close.
Crain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rockside pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Crain is keeping the position for now. Crain is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rockside drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Crain manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rockside has Crain in his guard. Crain postures up in Rockside's guard and throws a big left but Rockside blocks it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Crain wants to get up but he can't break Rockside's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Rockside throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Rockside working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Crain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rockside wants to pass the guard but Crain is keeping the position. Rockside is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Crain trying to keep a closed guard but Rockside is proving a slippery customer.
Rockside distracts Crain with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Rockside passes easily into side control. Nice work. Rockside is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Crain looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rockside gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Crain is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rockside lets go of the hold and Crain can pop his arm back in it's socket.
