The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Becker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Arizona was covering up waiting for the punch and Becker finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Arizona looking for a guillotine here but Becker defends easily.
Arizona is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Becker drops back looking for a leg! Arizona is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arizona manages to kick Becker off! Becker jumps back into Arizona's guard.

Becker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Becker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Becker postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Arizona is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Becker, into his guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Becker throws a push kick but Arizona slaps the foot to one side.

Arizona swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Becker wants to finish this one by submission but Arizona is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Becker.

Arizona is desperately trying to improve his position but Becker has a good base and remains in mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
