Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barker comes to the cage accompanied by Little bit Counrty. Ruiz has chosen U're the Best Around as his entrance music. Marco Ruiz struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Marco Ruiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Barker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marco Ruiz!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barker lands with a nice combination. Ruiz backs away looking to recover.
Barker throws a right hand that Ruiz ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruiz also avoids with ease.
Bob Barker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ruiz.
Barker tries to clinch but Ruiz moves out of range.
Barker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Ruiz drives through and clinches with Barker against the cage.

Ruiz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ruiz decides to stand back up. Ruiz steps back and let's Barker get back to his feet.
Ruiz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barker as he jumps to the side.
Bob Barker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Ruiz.

Barker throws a hook but Ruiz blocks it.
Barker tries to bum rush Ruiz with a series of wild strikes but Ruiz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ruiz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barker as he jumps to the side.

Barker scores with a one two! Ruiz had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Barker throws a right and a left that both miss.

Barker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ruiz jumps guard but Barker stands there with Ruiz around his waist. Ruiz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Barker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ruiz's guard.

No joy there for Barker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ruiz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barker circles away.

Barker clobbers Ruiz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bob Barker.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barker, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
