The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karhu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Karhu showed some decent athleticism there.

Karhu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jussila defends it well.

Karhu has control of Jussila's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jussila regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jussila knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karhu on the ground.

Karhu is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jussila can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Karhu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jussila tries to avoid it but Karhu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jussila to the ground. Jussila escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jussila looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Karhu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jussila's guard.

Jussila will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jussila lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Karhu has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Karhu and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Karhu seems to have recovered his senses.
Jussila scores with a jab to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jaakko Jussila.
I think Karhu has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
