Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Caldeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arturo Caldeira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Bob! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caldeira uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bob. Bob lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Caldeira backs up against the cage.
Bob throws a series of punches but Caldeira avoids them all with ease. Caldeira closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bob to the mat! Bob manages to get full guard. Bob manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A slow jab from Bob misses its intended target. Caldeira has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bob finds it's way round the side to connect with Caldeira's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bob connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Caldeira momentarily.
Caldeira changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bob looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Caldeira tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bob's legs. Bob is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Caldeira is controlling him well. Caldeira moves into full mount! Caldeira working for a submission but Bob is keeping him at bay. Bob taking shots to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caldeira looking to control but Bob is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Caldeira lands a nice shot to the head. Caldeira get's back to his feet. Bob uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A head kick misses from Bob. Caldeira takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Caldeira trying to control but Bob is having none of it. Caldeira controlling from the full mount. Caldeira with shots to the head and body - Bob looks very uncomfortable down there. Caldeira is standing up, even though he is in mount. Bob misses with a jab, cross combination.

Bob fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Caldeira on the side of the head. Caldeira throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bob was covering up waiting for the punch and Caldeira finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Caldeira controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Caldeira's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Caldeira trying to control but Bob is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Caldeira stands up from guard. Let's bang! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Arturo Caldeira will probably get the nod. That's time! Caldeira's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bob would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caldeira wants to sweep but no luck. Bob is breathing heavily. Bob wants to stand and escape but instead Caldeira has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Caldeira stands up and waves to Bob to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caldeira shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Caldeira was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Caldeira stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Bob throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bob lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Caldeira circles away quickly and effectively. Excellent takedown into side control there by Caldeira. Arturo Caldeira overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Caldeira working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Caldeira slows the pace down. Bob really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caldeira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob wants to get back to his feet but Caldeira drags him back down. Caldeira tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Caldeira stands up. Bob will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bob has had enough of the clinch but Caldeira keeps him there for the moment. Caldeira pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bob throws a right hand that Caldeira ducks under and follows up with a left that Caldeira also avoids with ease. Bob gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Caldeira stops Bob from standing up. Caldeira sitting in guard here, content to control. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Caldeira's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Caldeira prevents Bob from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Caldeira is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Caldeira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Caldeira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Caldeira throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bob works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Caldeira stands and throws Bob's legs to the side, diving into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arturo Caldeira dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Bob must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Caldeira looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Caldeira manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bob manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Caldeira won't allow Bob to get back to his feet. Caldeira gets to his feet. Bob looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Billy Bob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Caldeira takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Caldeira decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bob is trying to stand up here but Caldeira is controlling him well. Bob is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caldeira stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Caldeira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Caldeira pushes down on Bob's leg and manages to get into half guard. Caldeira slows the pace down in half guard. Bob tries to kick Caldeira off but Caldeira keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Caldeira stands up and beckons Bob to join him on the feet. Billy Bob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Caldeira wants to pass the guard but Bob is defending well. Bob is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Caldeira pulls his head out easily. Caldeira trying to control the action but Bob is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Arturo Caldeira showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Caldeira, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
