Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Whinchester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Drago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Whinchester! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drago tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Whinchester fails with the takedown. Drago wants to clinch up but Whinchester keeps it at a distance. Whinchester gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Drago ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Whinchester moves away. Whinchester scores with a takedown into Drago's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whinchesteris looking to pass into half guard but Drago pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Drago is in guard. Whinchester lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Drago! Drago is working to get back to half guard.
Drago knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Whinchester on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drago is controlling an arm, preventing Whinchester from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Drago might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Drago tries to hold on but Whinchester postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Drago is wriggling around trying to escape.
Drago gets back to half guard. Drago is trying to maintain the position but Whinchester is very close to passing his half guard. Drago is trying to stand up here but Whinchester is controlling him well. Drago is looking to control Whinchester's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Drago avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago tries to get to full guard but Whinchester has control of the leg. Whinchester is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Drago defends it well. Drago wants to control the action here but instead Whinchester manages to pass to full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Whinchester swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Drago is now in Whinchester's guard. A big mistake from Whinchester there, giving up the dominant position! Whinchester preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Drago could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Whinchester looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Drago throws a big right hand that misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Drago trying to stand up but can't free himself from Whinchester's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dean Whinchester will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Whinchester misses with a takedown attempt - Drago sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Drago scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Whinchester tries to get to full guard but Drago has control of the leg. Whinchester is staying active underneath Drago, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Whinchester wants to improve his position but Drago is controlling well.

Still in half guard, Drago seems content to control. Drago seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Whinchester for as long as he can get away with. Drago tries to pass to full mount but Whinchester defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Drago thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Whinchester's head. Whinchester is looking to improve his position.
Drago wants to stand up but Whinchester is controlling the position.
Whinchester is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Drago scores with a couple of nice shots. Whinchester is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whinchester tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Drago has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Drago tries to control but Whinchester wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whinchester is desperately trying to improve his position but Drago has a good base and remains in mount. Drago in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Drago with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Drago trying to control but Whinchester is having none of it. Drago swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Whinchester is now in Drago's guard. A big mistake from Drago there, giving up the dominant position! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Drago dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Drago drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Whinchester is looking for a sweep. Drago looks up at the clock and then as Whinchester takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Drago smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's one minute gone in the round. Whinchester tries to buck Drago off but Drago is having none of it. Whinchester is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Drago's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Drago connects with a nice short shot to Whinchester's temple. Whinchester takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Whinchester looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Drago seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Drago looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Drago is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Drago postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Whinchester looks a forlorn figure.
Drago swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Whinchester is now in Drago's guard. A big mistake from Drago there, giving up the dominant position!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whinchester takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Drago managing to control the position. Drago wants to stand but Whinchester is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Drago controls Whinchester momentarily but Whinchester frees himself. Whinchester tries to free his leg and advance position but Drago is retaining full guard. Drago working a defensive guard here.
Drago pushes Whinchester off and gets back to his feet.
Drago fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that's the end of the fight! Ivan Drago showed his dominance in that final round. Well Drago has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
