Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dace Javis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Kuklinski! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Javis misses with a few strikes there.
Kuklinski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Javis cracks Kuklinski with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
It looks like Richard Kuklinski has been cut. Kuklinski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kuklinski uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Javis. Kuklinski avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Javis gets caught flat footed, as Kuklinski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Javis wants to sweep here but Kuklinski controlling him for the moment. Kuklinski working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Javis looking to control.
Javis wants to sweep but no luck. Kuklinski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Javis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kuklinski has managed to get both his arms back between Javis's legs - danger averted. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Javis pulls Kuklinski in to control the position. Javis wants to stand up but Kuklinski is controlling him. Javis is controlling Kuklinski's posture. Javis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuklinski is sitting in close to Javis's body. Javis has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kuklinski is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kuklinski is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Javis.
