Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Nicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Wonka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willie Wonka is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Nicks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willie Wonka! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nicks attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Nicks takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Nicks misses with a body shot
and Wonka makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Wonka scores with a three punch combo!
Wonka keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nicks. Nicks misses with a body punch
and Wonka connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Mario Nicks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nicks just misses with a punch to the body.
Wonka blocks a low kick nicely. Nicks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wonka circles away quickly and effectively. Wonka chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nicks can pounce on him.

and Wonka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Some wild striking there from Nicks.
Nicks ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wonka fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nicks throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wonka counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Nicks trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nicks is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wonka throwing shots but Nicks is blocking nicely. Wonka throws a strike but Nicks avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nicks misses with a straight right. A jab from Nicks does it's job there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nicks misses the body punch and Wonka counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nicks won't be happy with that. Nicks wants to control but Wonka postures up. Wonka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nicks is looking for a sweep. Nicks is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Wonka works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Nicks tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Wonka easily slips into full mount! Nicks is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wonka connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Wonka sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Nicks tries to lock up and control but Wonka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wonka prevents Nicks from getting the reversal. Wonka thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Willie Wonka dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wonka takes a body punch but keeps moving. Nicks misses with an uppercut. Wonka saw that one coming. Wonka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wonka displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nicks throws out the jab. Nicks misses with a straight right. Nicks falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wonka decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nicks's guard. Nicks keeping moving, preventing Wonka from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wonka in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nicks looking for a sweep. Not yet Nicks, not yet. Wonka postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Nicks wants to stand up but Wonka is controlling him. Wonka is looking to work some ground and pound but Nicks has wrist control. Wonka wants to pass the guard but Nicks is keeping the position. Nicks manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nicks trying to control but Wonka is having none of it. Nicks controlling from mount. Wonka wants to hold on but Nicks pushes him away. Nicks wants to control the pace but Wonka is squirming around nicely. Wonka is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wonka tries to control the position but Nicks now has his back.
Wonka rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Nicks has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wonka wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wonka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nicks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nicks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wonka is breathing heavily. Nicks stands up from Wonka's guard - Nicks perhaps looking for a knockout. Nicks thows a left - swing and a miss! Nicks's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Nicks duly obliges. Wonka lands with an overhand left. Nicks looks to land a left hand but Wonka moved out of range nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Willie Wonka will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Nicks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

A solid body kick from Nicks. Nicks throws a leg kick that is checked and Wonka makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Nicks really felt that one! Wonka avoids the body shot from Nicks.
A head kick by Nicks misses and Wonka decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nicks's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wonka is standing up over Nicks. Nicks looks to escape but Wonka dives into side control.
A control attempt from Nicks but he's now mounted! Mario Nicks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nicks tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nicks tries to hold on but Wonka postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wonka looking to control but Nicks is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wonka jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Nicks manages to avoid the submission attempt. Nicks is looking to regain half guard here but Wonka keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nicks wants to get back to his feet but Wonka is dominant here and he's now got Nicks's back! Nicks controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. I really don't envy Nicks right now.

And that's the end of the fight! Willie Wonka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wonka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
