Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Ohlrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron McSlugg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ohlrich comes to the cage accompanied by Alice In Chains- Them Bones. McSlugg is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: mcslugg custom anthem..... Aaron McSlugg will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ohlrich misses the jab. Jon Ohlrich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ohlrich swinging wildly here.
McSlugg drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Ohlrich throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Aaron McSlugg has been cut. Ohlrich dives in and grabs McSlugg's left leg, looking for a takedown. McSlugg pushes down on Ohlrich's head and hops out. Ohlrich is looking to clinch. McSlugg slips a jab and a cross from Ohlrich.

Ohlrich postures up in McSlugg's guard and throws a big left but McSlugg blocks it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ohlrich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ohlrich throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ohlrich throwing strikes but missing. Ohlrich passes into half guard. Ohlrich thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ground and pound from Ohlrich. Ohlrich not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ohlrich thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McSlugg's head.

Ohlrich throws a big right hand that misses. McSlugg tries to land a sweep but no joy. McSlugg is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ohlrich is in close to McSlugg's body, working some short punches and elbows. Ohlrich throwing strikes from guard but McSlugg blocks nicely. McSlugg avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McSlugg can do anything to dispel that myth. Ohlrich trying to control but McSlugg is working from the bottom. Ohlrich throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McSlugg works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McSlugg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That has opened up Aaron McSlugg's cut even more. Ohlrich wants to pass the guard but McSlugg is keeping the position. Ohlrich might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. McSlugg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ohlrich lands a couple of digs. Ohlrich postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The cut above Aaron McSlugg's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Ohlrich lands with an overhand left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Ohlrich dominated that round. The cut man is working on Aaron McSlugg's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McSlugg uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ohlrich.
McSlugg is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ohlrich. Ohlrich misses with a series of wild punches.
Ohlrich looks to land a right hand but McSlugg moved out of range. Ohlrich lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

McSlugg takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. McSlugg blocks a leg kick. Ohlrich darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. McSlugg is looking to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ohlrich moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Ohlrich connects with a nice looking jab.
Aaron McSlugg's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Ohlrich throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ohlrich pushes McSlugg away with a front kick. McSlugg is breathing heavily. Ohlrich lands the left hand. Aaron McSlugg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ohlrich tries to clinch there but McSlugg circles away.
Good work by McSlugg as he checks the leg kick. Ohlrich misses with a looping right. McSlugg misses the shot to the body. Ohlrich is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ohlrich dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ohlrich shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McSlugg sprawls well. McSlugg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ohlrich gets slowly back to his feet. Ohlrich throws a shot from downtown. McSlugg moves away and avoids it.

McSlugg throws a body kick the misses so Ohlrich counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ohlrich with a flurry of punches that miss. Ohlrich connects with a couple of short punches. Ohlrich postures up in McSlugg's guard and throws a big left but McSlugg blocks it. McSlugg trying to keep a closed guard but Ohlrich is proving a slippery customer.
Ohlrich sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McSlugg's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ohlrich stalling. Ohlrich is nestled in close to McSlugg, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ohlrich tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McSlugg paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jon Ohlrich is winning the standup battle so far. Ohlrich throws a right and a left that McSlugg avoids nicely. Ohlrich tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McSlugg was well out of range. Poor timing from Ohlrich. Ohlrich throws and low kick but McSlugg moves out of range easily. Ohlrich lands a nice looking body kick. Ohlrich throws a jab but it's blocked by McSlugg. Ohlrich misses with a low kick. McSlugg takes one on the button. Ohlrich tries for a takedown but McSlugg sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McSlugg throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Ohlrich is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McSlugg can do to turn this around? Ohlrich shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McSlugg but McSlugg pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ohlrich fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ohlrich looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Ohlrich. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ohlrich misses with a hook to the body
and McSlugg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ohlrich wants to clinch up but McSlugg keeps it at a distance. Ohlrich shoots in for a takedown but McSlugg shows good takedown defense. McSlugg connects with the punch. Ohlrich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ohlrich misses with a wild combination.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Aaron McSlugg's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
