Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Gee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Johannsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gee comes into the arena with put your hands where my can see blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Gee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Johannsen! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johannsen throws a body punch but Gee moves out of range. Johannsen swinging wildly here.
Johannsen tries to clinch up. Johannsen looks to land a combination but Gee avoids it well. Gee chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Johannsen can pounce on him.
Johannsen misses with a double jab.
Johannsen doesn't manage to clinch there - Gee circles away.
Johannsen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Johannsen lands a glancing blow to the side of Gee's head. Gee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Johannsen is looking to clinch. Johannsen is looking to clinch but Gee is avoiding it.
Gee fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johannsen sprawls well initially but Gee persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gee wants to work for an arm triangle but Johannsen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Johannsen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Gee is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johannsen is just riding it out for now. Gee eventually gives up the hold. Gee is breathing heavily. Johannsen regains full guard. Nicely done. Gee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gee wants to control from the top but Johannsen keeps moving. Gee stops Johannsen from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A head kick from Johannsen lands but Gee takes it in his stride. Johannsen scores with a decent looking hook. Ryan Johannsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johannsen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gee. Johannsen tries to clinch up but Gee circles away and keeps his distance. A solid leg kick lands there for Johannsen.

Johannsen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gee. Johannsen feints and then cracks Gee's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gee down. Johannsen works over Gee's head and body with a nice combination. Johannsen doesn't manage to clinch there - Gee circles away.
Johannsen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gee swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Johannsen controls Gee momentarily but Gee frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gee preventing the sweep. Johannsen manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Gee looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Johannsen! Gee is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Johannsen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johannsen wants to control but Gee postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johannsen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gee wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johannsen, who protects the arm well. Gee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Johannsen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Johannsen is trying to get back to half guard. Johannsen is trying to control Gee's posture but Gee avoids it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A looping hook to the body misses from Johannsen. Gee does a little dance to reset his feet. Gee stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Johannsen. The fight stays on the outside here - Johannsen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jay Gee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gee takes a kick to the side of the head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gee. Johannsen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Johannsen.
