Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberts is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: ridda. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Bacon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Roberts! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice inside leg kick there by Roberts. That's going to slow Bacon down. Roberts is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Roberts lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Roberts connects with a looping right hand.
Roberts drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bacon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Roberts is controlling him. Roberts controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roberts accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bacon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Roberts controls the pace. I looks like Roberts might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jake Roberts just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Roberts shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bacon's guard. Roberts makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Roberts chips away with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bacon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Roberts. Roberts wants to control from the top but Bacon keeps moving. Roberts is pushing down on Bacon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bacon is fighting to maintain full guard but Roberts has managed to sneak the leg through. Roberts working Bacon over with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Well, if Roberts is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Roberts moves nicely into side control. Roberts throws an elbow but Bacon slips to the side and avoids it well. Roberts is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bacon will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bacon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Let's hope that Roberts has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Roberts landing strikes. Roberts trying to control the position but Bacon is working away. Roberts is working Bacon over with some ground and pound from side control. Roberts creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Roberts lands an elbow. Roberts wants to control but Bacon is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roberts lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Roberts content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jay Bacon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bacon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roberts throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bacon's waist but Bacon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Roberts off to one side. Roberts fails with a takedown attempt. Bacon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Roberts counters with a single leg into guard. Bacon didn't expect that. Jake Roberts has got the better of the ground game so far. Roberts throwing strikes but missing. Roberts slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bacon keeping moving, preventing Roberts from controlling successfully. Roberts has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Roberts controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bacon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roberts on the ground. Bacon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Roberts forces his way into half guard. Bacon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Roberts. Roberts with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jake Roberts just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Roberts fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jay Bacon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Roberts. Roberts closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bacon circles away. Bacon tries to clinch but Roberts is having none of it. Bacon tries to clinch but Roberts moves away and Roberts counters with a stiff right hand. The fight stays on the outside here - Roberts looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Roberts closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bacon to the mat! Bacon manages to get full guard. Roberts controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roberts sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bacon's guard. Roberts trying to control the action but Bacon is working from the bottom. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Roberts drops an elbow to the side of Bacon's head. Roberts wants to take a breather but Bacon is having none of it. Bacon is trying to stand back up but Roberts is controlling him
Roberts passes to full mount! Roberts lands a big shot there that rocks Bacon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roberts is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bacon to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bacon shrugs it off. Roberts is breathing heavily. Roberts pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Roberts controlling from mount. Roberts is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bacon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Roberts takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Roberts working away from the top, dropping strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Roberts showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Roberts closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Roberts is looking to advance position but Bacon won't allow it. Roberts trying to control from half guard but Bacon is working away. Roberts throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Roberts tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bacon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Roberts performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Roberts's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roberts is trying to control. Bacon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bacon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Roberts is working Bacon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Roberts stays in close to Bacon's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bacon wants to get back to his feet but Roberts is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Roberts throws a big right hand that misses. Roberts postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Roberts showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Roberts stops Bacon from standing up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Roberts with a flurry of punches that miss. Roberts trying to control but Bacon is working from the bottom. Roberts looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roberts postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Roberts slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Roberts throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bacon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Roberts controls the pace. Roberts has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bacon has momentary wrist control but Roberts slips an elbow through the middle. Roberts is stalling in the full guard.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jake Roberts just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bacon tries to clinch up. Roberts scores with a jab. Roberts throws a right and a left that Bacon avoids nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bacon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Roberts paws at him with a jab and circles away. Roberts lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jay Bacon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Roberts shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jay Bacon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jake Roberts is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Roberts takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Roberts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Roberts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
