Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Dirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edgar Poe Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edgar Poe Wong is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Dirt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Edgar Poe Wong! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wong avoids the attempt from Dirt to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dirt is squirming around, avoiding Wong's attempts to control the action. Dirt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wong on the ground. Wong is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dirt has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Wong controlling from the full mount. Wong trying to control but Dirt is having none of it. Dirt tries to lock up and control but Wong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wong with good strikes from the mount here! Wong scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wong with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Wong lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dirt is rocked! Dirt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dirt keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Wong looking to control but Dirt is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wong postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dirt looks a forlorn figure.
Wong prevents Dirt from getting the reversal. Wong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dirt tries to hold on but Wong postures up. Wong connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Dirt is looking to improve his position but Wong isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wong blocks Dirt's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wong controlling the position easily from mount. Wong trying to control but Dirt is having none of it. Wong landing punches. Wong prevents Dirt from getting the reversal. Wong lands a big elbow. Oh Dirt is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! Dirt tries to hold on but Wong postures up. Dirt seems to have got his legs back now. Wong is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dirt is surviving well by controlling Wong's body position as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wong content just to control the position here. Dirt is trying to escape the mount.
Dirt regains half guard. Wong lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Wong has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wong pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Wong dominating with strikes here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dirt is looking to improve his position but Wong isn't that keen on the idea. Wong lands a heavy elbow. Dirt is breathing heavily. Wong is in the full mount, landing strikes. Wong takes Dirt's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Dirt is in trouble. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wong softening up his opponent with strikes here.

Wong working for a choke but Dirt is defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wong keeps control of the position as Dirt tries to break free.

Edgar Poe Wong dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dirt doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wong counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wong is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dirt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wong wants to control from the top but Dirt keeps moving. Dirt trying to control the position.
Dirt throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wong escapes and throws Dirt's legs to the side, diving into side control! Wong taking a breather here. Dirt takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wong tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wong has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wong slows the pace down. Wong tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Wong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dirt keeps working. Dirt is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wong decides to stand back up. Dirt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wong counters with a shoot takedown. Dirt fights it but they end up in guard. Wong looking to pass the guard. Wong decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dirt, up you get! Dirt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Wong is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Dirt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wong cracks Dirt with a solid left hand. Wong trying to control but Dirt is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wong forces his way into half guard. Wong winds up and cracks Dirt with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Wong works his foot free and advances to mount. Wong is standing up, even though he is in mount. Peter Dirt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wong ducks under a wild hook from Dirt. Wong looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dirt throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Wong is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wong is working for a kimura but Dirt is defending it quite comfortably.
Dirt landing a few short strikes. Wong stands up from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dirt gets caught flat footed, as Wong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wong sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dirt's guard. Wong slips a nice elbow through Dirt's hands, connecting with Dirt's forehead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edgar Poe Wong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

It's a sloppy attempt though and Wong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wong sitting in guard, not really doing much. I really don't envy Dirt right now.

And that's the end of the fight! Edgar Poe Wong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
