Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Sucre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geoff Dunlop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sucre comes into the arena with Capital Punishment blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fernando Sucre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Geoff Dunlop! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunlop throws a right and a left that both miss. Sucre has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dunlop has picked Sucre up - he's going for a ride! Dunlop dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Dunlop is trying to work for a kimura but Sucre is defending well.
Dunlop wants to work for an arm triangle but Sucre is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sucre tries to get to full guard but Dunlop has control of the leg. Sucre looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sucre is trying to maintain the position but Dunlop is very close to passing his half guard. Sucre looking for submissions off his back. Dunlop is looking for a kimura here.
Dunlop is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sucre tries for a takedown but Dunlop sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A nice combination there by Dunlop.
Sucre drives through with a takedown into guard. Sucre controlling from the top position. Dunlop looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sucre is one step ahead there. Sucre drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sucre jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Dunlop throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dunlop bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sucre's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunlop drops back looking for a leg! Sucre is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sucre manages to kick Dunlop off! Dunlop jumps back into Sucre's guard. Sucre has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dunlop doesn't defend quickly enough and Sucre has managed to lock this one up! Can Dunlop escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sucre on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Fernando Sucre!
