Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Meier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Batt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Matt Batt enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Meier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matt Batt! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meier connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Batt momentarily.
It looks like Matt Batt has been cut. Meier gets caught flat footed, as Batt shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Meier is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Batt is controlling him. Meier has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Batt off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Batt fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Some wild striking there from Meier.
Meier tries to bum rush Batt with a series of wild strikes but Batt uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Meier throws a jab when Batt was well out of range. Batt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Batt throws a head kick but Meier moves out of range.
Meier throws a left and a right that both miss
and Batt counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Meier wants to get back to his feet. Batt seems to be working for a kimura but Meier defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Batt looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Batt is working for a submission of some sort.

Meier is trying to stand back up but Batt is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Batt is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Batt stops Meier from getting back to his feet.
Batt is looking for a kimura but Meier is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Batt to get the leverage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. No joy there for Meier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Meier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Batt moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Meier lands a left and a right that send Batt crashing to the mat, dazed. Meier thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Batt is rocked! Meier swinging wildly here.
Batt is still on wobbly legs! Can Meier finish him? Meier falls off balance throwing a combination
and Batt counters with a single leg into guard. Meier didn't expect that. Batt seems to have recovered his senses. Batt is pushing down on Meier's leg trying to pass to half guard. Meier is fighting to maintain full guard but Batt has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meier is trying to stand back up but Batt is controlling him
Batt is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Meier sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Batt is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Meier is defending against the submission attempts here by Batt.
Batt is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Matt Batt will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Matt Batt's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Batt takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Meier misses with a wild combination.
Meier lands a big right hand that sends Batt crashing to the mat! Meier stays standing though and waves Batt back to his feet! Batt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Meier grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Batt takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Meier cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
