Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cy Nasqu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Vronsky! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vronsky shoots in and drives through. Nasqu sprawls well. Vronsky throws a big shot that misses. Nasqu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Vronsky lands with a shot to the body. Nasqu pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nasqu throws a lazy right hand but Vronsky sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Vronsky dodges the punch combination from Nasqu.
Vronsky thows a body shot but no joy. Nasqu lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Michael Vronsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nasqu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vronsky shoots in for a takedown but Nasqu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nasqu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice cross by Nasqu. Vronsky shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nasqu is squirming around, avoiding Vronsky's attempts to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vronsky controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nasqu is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Vronsky throwing strikes here but Nasqu is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vronsky throwing strikes but Nasqu uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Nasqu wants to get back to his feet. Nasqu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vronsky on the ground. Vronsky tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nasqu knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Vronsky missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nasqu is trying to stand.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Vronsky scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Nasqu swings for the body but Vronsky moves out of range.
Vronsky darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Vronsky thows a huge punch but Nasqu dodges it nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Cy Nasqu will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Nasqu counters with a lovely straight right hand! Vronsky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Nasqu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vronsky throws out the jab. Nasqu moves out of range as Vronsky strikes. Nasqu throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nasqu scores with a crisp jab that stopped Vronsky in his tracks. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nasqu swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nasqu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vronsky sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nasqu scores with a decent looking hook. Vronsky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nasqu.
Cy Nasqu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Vronsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Nasqu sprawls well. He's pushed Vronsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Vronsky connects with a crisp jab. Nice cross by Nasqu. A telegraphed right hand from Nasqu misses the target. Nasqu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vronsky moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nasqu throws a jab when Vronsky was well out of range. Nasqu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vronsky. Cy Nasqu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Vronsky. Nasqu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasqu has control of Vronsky's left arm, preventing Vronsky from doing any damage. Vronsky stops Nasqu from standing up. Vronsky wants to control from the top but Nasqu keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vronsky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vronsky prevents Nasqu from getting back to his feet. Nasqu keeping moving, preventing Vronsky from controlling successfully. Nasqu wants to stand but Vronsky is controlling the position. Nasqu keeping moving, preventing Vronsky from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A looping hook to the body misses from Nasqu. Vronsky does a little dance to reset his feet. Vronsky loads up on a big right hand but Nasqu slips the punch. Vronsky throws a combination that misses and Nasqu counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Vronsky bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Vronsky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vronsky uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nasqu. Nasqu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cy Nasqu dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Vronsky closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nasqu to the mat! Nasqu manages to get full guard. Nasqu working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vronsky. Nasqu uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Vronsky looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Vronsky takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Donk. Vronsky catches Nasqu right on the button with a cross. Vronsky blocks a jab. Nasqu with a hook. Nasqu pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nasqu leaves Vronsky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cy Nasqu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Vronsky. Vronsky looks to score with a jab to the body but Nasqu is just out of range. Vronsky takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Vronsky punishes Nasqu's body with a nice straight punch. Vronsky scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Vronsky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nasqu is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasqu manages to escape and get back to his feet! Vronsky shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nasqu napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nasqu is trying to buck Vronsky off. Vronsky tries to score with some ground and pound. Nasqu controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Vronsky tries to move into full mount but can't pass Nasqu's legs. Nasqu parries the strikes from Vronsky easily there. Vronsky is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nasqu to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vronsky working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Vronsky postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vronsky is looking to take a break and control but Nasqu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nasqu is trying to get back to half guard. Nasqu stops Vronsky from passing to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cy Nasqu. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nasqu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
