Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Elley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamison Gilchrest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilchrest tries to clinch but Elley is having none of it.
Elley throws a sloppy head kick and Gilchrest moves out of range easily.
Elley gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gilchrest throws a lazy head kick
and Elley holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Elley changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gilchrest fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Gilchrest tries to break free but Elley pushes him back against the cage.
Elley has Gilchrest pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Elley pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gilchrest tumbling to the mat - Elley dives into Gilchrest's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Elley doesn't manage to clinch there - Gilchrest circles away.

Gilchrest lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Gilchrest is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Elley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Elley has escaped and now he's on top!

Gilchrest can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Elley controls the pace.
Elley tries to stand but Gilchrest is controlling from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Elley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gilchrest is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Elley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Elley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gilchrest wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Elley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gilchrest avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Elley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gilchrest throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Elley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Elley is on top in guard.
Elley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Elley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gilchrest swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Elley connects with a knee to the head.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Elley lands a big head kick that sends Gilchrest tumbling to the mat! Elley takes a step backwards and waves Gilchrest back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Elley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gilchrest throws out the jab.

Elley lands a brutal head kick. Gilchrest looks out on his feet and Elley throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
