Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Christmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincenzo Calliente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christmas comes to the cage accompanied by Doomsday Was Written in an Alien Bible. Vincent Christmas is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincent Christmas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincenzo Calliente! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calliente feints and as Christmas raises his hands in defense, Calliente changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Calliente drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Christmas dives on top into guard. Calliente managing to control the position. Christmas works a leg free and moves into half guard. Calliente keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Christmas wants to pass to mount but Calliente is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christmas not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Calliente keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Christmas not landing any meaningful shots this time. Christmas is looking to stall here but Calliente recovers full guard. Christmas trying to control but Calliente is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nice takedown defense from Christmas. No joy for Calliente on that attempt. Calliente shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Christmas as he avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Calliente attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Christmas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Calliente looks gassed! Calliente with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Christmas to score with a decent uppercut. Christmas cracks Calliente with a right hand to the side of the head. Calliente is looking to clinch but Christmas is avoiding it.
Christmas decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Christmas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Christmas looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Christmas is looking for a kimura but Calliente is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Christmas to get the leverage. Christmas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Christmas trying to control the action but Calliente is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christmas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Christmas trying to control from Calliente's half guard. Calliente has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Christmas postures up in Calliente's guard and throws a big left but Calliente blocks it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Christmas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Christmas trying to control but Calliente is working from the bottom. Christmas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Calliente is looking to clinch but Christmas is avoiding it.
Christmas jabs at Calliente's body. Calliente doesn't manage to clinch there - Christmas circles away.
Calliente misses with a few strikes there.
Christmas dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Calliente takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Christmas scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Christmas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Calliente knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Christmas remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A nice combination there by Christmas.
Christmas scores with a jab to the body. Christmas scores with a sloppy right hand. Calliente should have avoided that one. Christmas paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
