The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fabiano buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nice takedown defense from Souza. No joy for Fabiano on that attempt.
Soha Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fabiano is looking to clinch.
Souza avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Souza thows a huge punch but Fabiano dodges it nicely.

Souza tries to clinch but Fabiano is having none of it.

Souza dives in and grabs Fabiano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fabiano pushes down on Souza's head and hops out.
Fabiano lands a nice looking kick to the body. Souza takes a step back to recover.
Souza misses with an uppercut.

Fabiano wants to clinch up but Souza keeps it at a distance.
Souza keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Fabiano shoots in looking for a takedown. Souza tries to sprawl out of it but Fabiano keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Souza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Souza can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fabiano is looking to escape.

Souza is looking to stand but Souza has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
