The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roids gets caught flat footed, as Hellwig shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hellwig pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Roids is keeping the position for now.
Hellwig tries to stand but Roids is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hellwig gets to his feet. Roids looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hellwig has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Roids clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Roids wants to control his opponent's hands but Hellwig gets his hands free.
Hellwig tries to get the hooks in deep but Roids pushed the leg off.
Roids turns into Hellwig and is now in his guard.

Roids is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hellwig isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Roids stacks Hellwig on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Roids!

Roids jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hellwig is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hellwig and Roids has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
