Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elias Paniki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Hartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paniki comes into the arena with Sapul blaring out of the sound system. Paniki has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Teddy Hartman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Elias Paniki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Teddy Hartman! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hartman misses with the combination.
Hartman feints and as Paniki raises his hands in defense, Hartman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hartman stands and steps away. Paniki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Paniki misses with a double jab
and Hartman counters with a two punch combo. Hartman cracks Paniki with a right hand to the side of the head. Paniki is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Hartman blocks a head kick by Paniki.
Paniki throws a right and a left that both miss. Hartman checks the leg kick. Paniki swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hartman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hartman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hartman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hartman showed some decent athleticism there. Hartman content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hartman escapes and gets back to his feet. Hartman wants to land a leg kick but Paniki is out of range. Paniki tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hartman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hartman staying calm. Paniki is looking to regain half guard here but Hartman keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hartman taking a breather here. Hartman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Paniki to his feet. Hartman feints and as Paniki raises his hands in defense, Hartman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hartman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hartman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hartman postures up and lands a big shot to Paniki's brow. Hartman lands a couple of elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hartman showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hartman is working Paniki over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Paniki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hartman controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Teddy Hartman. Hartman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Paniki was well out of range. Poor timing from Hartman. Hartman is looking to clinch but Paniki is avoiding it.
Hartman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hartman is taking a breather. Paniki says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hartman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Paniki on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Teddy Hartman dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Paniki checks a leg kick. Hartman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hartman. Paniki looks to throw the jab but Hartman is out of range. Hartman feints and as Paniki raises his hands in defense, Hartman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hartman stands up and waves to Paniki to follow him. Hartman throws a one two combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hartman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Paniki sprawls well initially but Hartman persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hartman has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Paniki taking some punishment here, with Hartman in his half guard. Hartman stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Paniki to get to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hartman swinging wildly here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paniki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hartman chips away with some ground and pound. Hartman gets to his feet - Paniki follows without any prompting. Elias Paniki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hartman misses with a few strikes there.

Paniki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hartman smiles and moves away.
Hartman lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Paniki backs up against the cage.
Hartman throws a head kick but Paniki moves out of range.
Paniki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hartman passes easily into side control. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Paniki is letting Hartman control him for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hartman passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Paniki! Hartman controlling from the full mount. Hartman lands with some strikes. Hartman controlling the pace for now.

Teddy Hartman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Paniki was covering up waiting for the punch and Hartman finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hartman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hartman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hartman postures up and lands a big shot to Paniki's brow. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hartman works over Paniki with some ground and pound from guard. Paniki being controlled here, momentarily. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hartman is in close to Paniki's body, working some short punches and elbows. Hartman lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hartman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Paniki's head. Paniki throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hartman escapes and throws Paniki's legs to the side, diving into side control! Hartman is staying tight to Paniki's torso, preventing him from escaping. Let's hope that Hartman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Paniki is letting Hartman control him for a moment. Teddy Hartman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hartman stands up and we're back to a striking position. Hartman misses with a double jab.
Elias Paniki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hartman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hartman postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Paniki to stand up.
And that's the end of the fight! Teddy Hartman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hartman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
