Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dmitri Anatolievich Alenitchev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris has chosen The Clash - Rock the Casbah as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitri Anatolievich Alenitchev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jerome Harris!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris throws a combination. Alenitchev tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Alenitchev gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Harris to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Harris wants to control from the top but Alenitchev keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alenitchev looking for a guillotine here but Harris defends easily.

Alenitchev is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Harris trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Harris must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Harris throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Alenitchev sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A looping hook to the body misses from Harris. Alenitchev does a little dance to reset his feet.
Harris misses the shot to the body.
Harris bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


It looks like Dmitri Anatolievich Alenitchev has been cut.

and Harris counters with a nice uppercut.

Harris drives through with a takedown into guard.
Harris works over Alenitchev with some ground and pound from guard.

Alenitchev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Harris gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Harris works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Harris lands a big shot there that rocks Alenitchev but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Alenitchev is desperately trying to improve his position but Harris has a good base and remains in mount.

Harris has hold of Alenitchev's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alenitchev manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Alenitchev has hold of Harris's hands but Harris slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Harris has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Alenitchev can't escape the position.
Jerome Harris has got the better of the ground game so far.

Harris wants to control the pace but Alenitchev is squirming around nicely.
Harris tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Harris has control of Alenitchev's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Alenitchev regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Alenitchev is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Harris is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Harris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alenitchev's guard.

Harris is working Alenitchev over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Alenitchev has his foot on Harris's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harris works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Harris has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
