Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Las Vegas Baby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Hank Hill has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Las Vegas Baby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hank Hill!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Hill. No joy for Vegas Baby on that attempt.
Vegas Baby is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vegas Baby uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hill.

Vegas Baby shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vegas Baby was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Vegas Baby looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Vegas Baby throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Vegas Baby looking to secure an arm triangle but Hill defends it well.
Vegas Baby lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hill hang on?

Vegas Baby is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hill can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hill is trying desperately to improve position.

Vegas Baby throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hill because Vegas Baby loaded up on that one.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Vegas Baby goes for an armbar but Hill turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hill.
Vegas Baby wants to sweep here but Hill controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hill got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vegas Baby has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hill has managed to get both his arms back between Vegas Baby's legs - danger averted.
Vegas Baby will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Vegas Baby escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hill gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hill passes Vegas Baby's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Vegas Baby actively working from the bottom here.
Hill uses his free foot to push down on Vegas Baby's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vegas Baby.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vegas Baby is defended easily by Hill.
Vegas Baby uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hill.
A slow jab from Hill misses its intended target.
Vegas Baby throws a push kick but Hill slaps the foot to one side.
Vegas Baby shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Horrible takedown by Vegas Baby or perhaps it was just good defense by Hill which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Las Vegas Baby. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vegas Baby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hill wants to control from the top but Vegas Baby keeps moving.
Vegas Baby looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hill is one step ahead there.

Vegas Baby utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hill accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vegas Baby thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vegas Baby tries to close the distance and clinch but Hill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vegas Baby wants to clinch.
Vegas Baby tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hill sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vegas Baby somewhat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Hill decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vegas Baby's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Vegas Baby wants to improve his position but Hill is controlling well.

Las Vegas Baby overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hill parries the strikes from Vegas Baby easily there. Vegas Baby is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hill to escape.

Vegas Baby tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vegas Baby has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Vegas Baby swings around for an armbar but Hill sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vegas Baby's guard.
