Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jozo Martini!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Candinni darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Martini is looking to improve his position.
Martini is refusing to be controlled, as Candinni sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Candinni is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Martini sees it coming and defends easily.
Candinni is trying to control the action in half guard but Martini is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Candinni not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Candinni is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Martini has managed to free his arm - good work.

Martini is trying to get back to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Candinni shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Candinni seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Candinni trying to control but Martini is working from the bottom.
Martini tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Martini not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Martini wants to sweep here but Candinni controlling him for the moment.
Martini has a closed guard, preventing Candinni from standing up.
Martini bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Candinni's guard.
Martini scoring with punches to the head and body.
Martini connects with a couple of short punches.
Candinni keeping moving, preventing Martini from controlling successfully.
Martini landing with the ground and pound.
Martini throwing strikes from guard but Candinni blocks nicely.
Martini controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martini cracks Candinni with a solid left hand.
Martini throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Martini must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Candinni has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Martini doesn't defend quickly enough and Candinni has managed to lock this one up! Can Martini escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Candinni on a fantastic submission victory.
