Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Romore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Woodie! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodie tries to clinch up but Romore circles away and keeps his distance. Woodie tries to clinch up. Woodie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Romore swivels and escapes. Woodie fails in his attempt to clinch. Trevor Woodie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Romore misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Woodie wants to clinch up but Romore keeps it at a distance. Woodie shoots in but Romore avoids the takedown attempt easily. Romore defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Woodie. Frank Romore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevor Woodie. Romore closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Woodie did well to prevent Romore getting side control. Romore trying to control the action but Woodie is working from the bottom. Romore seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Romore is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Romore wants to control but Woodie is keeping him busy. Woodie wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Woodie is looking to clinch. Woodie fails with the takedown and Romore counters with a flying knee. Nice. Romore gets a takedown into half guard. Romore is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Romore looks to land a strike but Woodie avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Woodie keeping moving, preventing Romore from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Romore controls from within his opponent's guard. Romore trying to control but Woodie is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Romore preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Romore dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Romore clinches up with Woodie and pushes him back against the cage. Romore breaks the clinch.
Woodie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Romore to the mat! Romore manages to get full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Woodie trying to stand up but can't free himself from Romore's guard. Woodie scoring with some ground and pound. Romore is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Woodie is controlling him. Woodie postures up in Romore's guard and throws a big left but Romore blocks it. Woodie preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woodie throws a big right hand that misses. Romore looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Woodie would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Romore is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woodie working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Woodie with a poor takedown and Romore counters with a shoot takedown. Woodie fights it but they end up in guard. Woodie is breathing heavily. Woodie looking to control.
Romore wants to stand but Woodie has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Woodie is working an open guard so Romore takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woodie tries for a takedown but Romore circles away easily and Romore holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Woodie misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Romore.
Romore jumps guard.
Woodie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Woodie drops back looking for a leg! Romore is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Romore manages to kick Woodie off! Woodie jumps back into Romore's guard. Romore wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romore throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Romore is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Romore keeping moving, preventing Woodie from controlling successfully. Romore will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Woodie is fighting off a takedown attempt but Romore is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Woodie to the mat. Woodie regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Romore preventing the sweep. Romore stands up and waves to Woodie to follow him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Romore lands with a nice combination. Woodie backs away looking to recover. Woodie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Romore napping and manages to drive through into side control! Woodie stands up and beckons Romore to his feet. Woodie tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Romore decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Woodie's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Romore stops Woodie from standing up. Romore preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Romore dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Romore has closed the distance and engaged Woodie in a clinch.
Romore pulls guard. Romore kicks Woodie off and gets to his feet. Woodie looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Romore misses with a jab, cross combination.
Romore tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Romore misses with a takedown attempt - Woodie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Romore takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Woodie tries to clinch up so Romore counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Woodie is pulling down on Romore's head to control his posture. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woodie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Romore manages to get himself to full guard.

Romore looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Woodie stands and steps away. Romore gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Woodie misses with a takedown attempt and Romore counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Woodie's guard now. Frank Romore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Romore being controlled here momentarily.

Romore shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Woodie as he avoids it easily. Woodie lands a head kick. Romore smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Woodie is looking to clinch. Woodie tries to clinch but Romore moves away and Romore counters with a shoot takedown. Woodie fights it but they end up in guard. Woodie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Romore throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Woodie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Romore showed his dominance in that final round. Well Romore has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
